It's pretty labor intensive for the small amount of aggravation it causes. I

Ditto. Loud music at night, roaring in on a motorcycle at 2 am, stealing your 
cable TV by attaching another cable to it, anonymous phone calls -- wait a 
minute!, those are all things that happened to me! (Long ago, though.) I should 
have been paranoid!

I think it's a car thing, not a people thing. Most people out to get one are 
not nearly that subtle. In fact, they are pretty blatant about it. Because 
they really want you to know.
