If as many people comment on the PUG as comment on the PAWs and PESOs,etc, more people would take the trouble to enter the PUG every month.

Certainly I stopped submitting to the PUG because mine were no longer getting any comments at all. I took that to mean my stuff wasn't good enough to bother with, and decided not to continue inflicting it on the community. Same reason I haven't posted a Picture in EVER So ... long.

You should not let that bother you all that much.
There are only a small number (12 to 15?) that regularly comment on submissions anyhow, out of [how many members have we now?]
I comment rarely, but I do enjoy them all.
It's the rare image that prompts a "Awww, so what" response from me.
Most are such that I can see what was attempted, and can compare to my meager efforts, and feel some real appreciation for what I'm looking at.

On the other hand, unless something really moves me, I refrain from commenting. Commenting, and making the comment something more than "Nice job. Please continue" is WORK! You have to think about it, so you don't repeat words you've used for someone else's works here.

I can rarely find the time to spend as a reviewer.
So, I DO spend time as a LOOKER and APPRECIATOR, which is about all I can practically afford.

My reasons for not participating are more complicated, but...I do keep looking, and I voted to have PUG continue, in the fond hope my personal business needs will wane, and I'll have more time to give to the group...to participate instead of just being a voyeur!

Thanks for your comments, but I think you're just a tad too sensitive about it all. I've seen your stuff, and can't imagine anyone here thinks any of it as mediocre. It's too good for that.

Please be well, and keep submitting photos.
Maybe even I will start submitting before long, who knows! ;-)
