What they expect is for the photographic street cred of having a DSLR
and the Pentax name to help them sell inexpensive digicams in volume.
Your top-end cameras don't make much money in and of themselves, but
they help move your affordable stuff. Nikon and Canon have known that
for years, as has Sony (though in the video field, not photography).
