Except I have it on good authority that the police don't want to arrive while a robbery is in progress, to avoid hostage situations. They're in no rush to get to the bank. Very few drunks take hostages.

They should try stationing themselves at the exits to parking lots of bars, but when they tried that here the bar owners screamed that it was hurting business so the cops aren't allowed to do that. If you're looking for bank robbers, the obvious place to look is banks, right???
