Lordy, lordy. What interesting speculations, extrapolations and
whatever. After reading much of this thread all I can say is, "If this
might affect you and you care about it much, consult a lawyer who really
knows something about which he opines. The opinions and views of the
rest of us are worth zilch, I am afraid, without knowing a lot more
about the applicable law and the specific facts of the case at hand than
have been presented.
So I will refrain from giving my muddled opinion of what would be
involved if this situation were in the US.
