Just a fully charged set of batteries will do. (The update takes a few
seconds at most). You're more likely to have a power failure using the
AC adapter than you are to run out of battery power if you use a fresh set.

I've put the FA 50mm f/1.7 on it, an 1GB Sandisk SD card, and she

I'll need some time to get used with the camera (it's my first digital
camera), but for now it seems OK (I'll do more tests this evening,
just in case). One thing I've noticed is the firmware version: 1.00.
If I want to update it I'll need the AC adapter, right?
