RE: MZ-S review in Amateur Photographer (first UK review)

The reviewer did rave about the autofocus though. Overall I got the 
feeling that it was a big step in the right direction - but up against 
the likes of Canon and Nikon, Pentax is *always* going to be the 
underdog. Jeees, think how poor Sigma (cameras) feel!

I think if Pentax were seriously going to attack the real professional 
market, they would do much much better than the MZ-S, let alone get back 
in the business of producing a vast range of high quality lenses.

As I see it, Pentax is consolidating its position, gearing up for digital 
which - like it or not - is a much bigger part of the future than we may 
care to admit, and trying to retain a good quality niche market. This 
view may not be shared by many on this list, and I respect your point of 
view, but isn't it obvious?
