Well, I might dispute that contention! ;-)
There is an adapter for my Contax IIIa that will accept Leica lenses.
In my perpetual eBay search for Contax R.F. lenses, I get a large number
of hits that are offering that adapter.
Alas, since I got rid of the only R.F. Leica I ever had, long ago, I
have no Leica lenses to use. Sad but true...
In fact, any rabid Contax-o-phile could successfully argue Leica lens
quality vs. Contax lenses.
The outstanding reputation of those Zeiss Sonnars, Biogons and Tessars
would even today would give Leica lenses a run for the money.
