the title "Where is Pentax heading?" (or something like that). I haven't
read it myself but gotten it refered from a friend. I believe that this
should be seen in he context of the recently announced restructure program
where Pentax emphasize "we will give the customers what they want (an LX
obviously)", move upmarket, and boosting brand recognition. All this fits in
with a new LX, Limited lenses or even the MZ-S. It was also said that Pentax
won't make upscale P&S because "theres no legends to be had in that". Pentax
wants to make another legendary camera; a camera the owmers would like to
take with them to their graves. Interestingly, Pentax said at Photokina '96
that were working on a sturdy, professional camera closer to the LX than the
Z-1p. This might be it.
