Marnie,
I'm a little late in commenting on this, and I can't really give much
technical feedback, but I love this picture. It reminds me of my 98-yr-old
Grandma--her hands show her years of hard work, yet also show her kindness
and grace. So obviously my perceptions bias me towards liking the softer,
lower contrast version much better.

Thanks! I just think I'd fiddle with having a little more detail in the thumb
and some of the surrounding whitish areas. It's really not the best
highlight-wise. But, yeah, overall softer is probably better.

Thanks for looking. She's 91 now. And still going strong.
