The LX name was choosen to celebrate Asahi's 60th anniversary. I'll say theres a good 
chance now that Pentax imply that they want to modernize the LX, that they take 
advantage of the occasion to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Asahiflex and the 
first japanese slr.
