I decided to use the Mom hands theme for our Xmas newsletter. We do one each year and stick it into the cards. In other words, I don't make cards out of it, its a insert.
Only I added my hand. I don't think it's entirely successful, but I was under a time limit, I wanted to finish the newsletter up yesterday and get it mailed yesterday. So we did this Wednesday afternoon after the light had changed for the worse. Because it was overcast and I had poor ambient light I used my Canon 50mm at 1.8, which meant shallow DOF. Anyway, I liked the idea, so I am going to try it again (in better light when I can get it). I don't think it's too bad. Sort of looks like I was crunching her hand, but it was a comfortable pose actually. Though a tad hard to do.
