Hi,
Having read this thread, I finally came to a question.
Why Pentax sells lenses with its logo on them, manufactured by others? I
heard that 28-200 is actually made by Tamron - and the quality of this lens
is very poor. Quality of lenses with the Soligor or Cosina logo on them is
also usually very poor (I mean of course the optical quality). I think it
wastes the "Pentax" name and trespasses upon customers' confidence... I
don't get it. What's the reason for doing it? And what other Pentax lenses
are actually made by other manufacturers? Are there many of them?
Greetz

| And probably SMC. The output from these lenses is said to be a little
| different.

| I have the Pentax, and like the optics a lot.
