Not with those you list, but I have certainly bargained with almost every photo store I've bought used from in the UK. It goes something like this:
"Is £50,000.00 your best price for this used lens cap?" "We might be able to take a bit off". "I'll give you 50p" "OK". They're in the business of moving stock across the counter. As long as they make a profit (or minimise a loss) they'll do a deal. If you've ever sold to a dealer, you'll know how much mark-up they put on the stuff, so you can generally work backwards to find their best price. -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: Igor Roshchin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 04 January 2006 00:43 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Bargaining with used photo-gear stores > > > While I am in the question mode, let me ask the question I've > had in my mind for long time. > > I wonder if anybody has > a) bargained > b) successfully bargained > with any of the used photo gear stores > (e.g. KEH, B&H, Adoram, Jackscamera, etc. or any local ones)? > > If you have, - please tell your story, if you don't mind, or > at least just the result. > > Thank you, > > Igor > > > > > >
