Same here, almost invariably the D was set to manual selection or centre
point. I do miss the easy centre-only selection that the D had, although
my EOS does do a heck of a lot better with Auto-selection of AF points
(That said the AF unit does also cover a lot less of the frame than the
D's 11 point system)
