I chose a neutral background to prevent it from affecting colour
perception. I might change to a lighter shade as it does look a bit
dark to me now that the sun is shining.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I've now added a little message
that indicates when a photo is loading, and I've rearranged the text
a little to make it look more cluttered ;)
I'll work on some more changes later tonight or tomorrow - namely
improved "prev/next" links and support for non-javascript browsers.
