I usually HATE HATE HATE music on websites.
But...
This is tastefully done (as you hoped!) and works quite well. The
simple fact that I get to hit the "play" button myself to start the
music and images is, I think, what makes me not recoil from this
like most other musical websites.
Thank you!
Yes. I especially hate it when just opening a page blasts music which
is too loud to begin with at me. That's why I set it NOT to auto-
start and put the note in the web page that you should check your
sound volume before starting. :-)
Nice song - especially for the B&W photos. I, too, wish that the
photos would linger a little longer sometimes. Hard to do that and
have the music last long enough, though!
I can see several ways to improve things to fit the duration of a
song better. If you have a large presentation like this one, the most
obvious thing to do would be to either combine several pieces of
music into the audio. Another thought would be to combine some images
together and present them as a pair. I'll be working on several of
these ideas.. :-)
What did you use to assemble this, if you don't mind my asking? (or
have you told us already and I wasn't paying attention?)
I mentioned it before: "SoundSlides" is the generating application.
It's very reasonably priced and very simple to use. See details at:

I believe it is only available for Mac OS X.
