True, but you have better chances to turn a deteriorate negative into an
acceptable print than recovering the contents of a deteriorated cd,
without using special technical solutions, only available to your
nearest CIA-office.
Also, a scratch on your negative may be a bad thing to one picture, but
a scratch on your cd may be a *very* bad thing to all it's pictures.
Now, don't think that I'm that much afraid of deteriorating digital
media: it's a matter of principle:).
The greatest danger for digital pictures, is that most of them never
even reach the cd nor print and are lost on the next hard disk crash...
