I don't think it appears to be very large. The lens is obviously quite large in comparison to the camera.
Based on the diametre of the lens mount it appears to be slightly larger than the MZ-S which is larger than the LX. How does the *istD's compare to the LX and MZ-S in size?
I would like image stabilization if it doesn't add a lot of cost. But I suspect the new Pentax DSLR won't have it.
I suspect it is just and *istD with a new sensor and otherwise only minor modification. If this is the case I won't buy it.
It will most likely be similar to the Nikon D200, which B&H has priced at l699. If it can equal that camera in specs, it will be a winner in my book.
I doubt it. My guess is that it is an *istD and won't have magnesium body. If it indeed is quite large then I think it might have IS.
I'm sure it will accommodate early lenses in a manner at least as efficient as the D.
The release in fall seem to coincide with the opening of the new lens plant. If the new lenses have any added functionalities it will probably be reflected in the lens mount but not necessarily shown on the prototype for PMA.
