Thats much too strong a word.
Who I really feel shafted by is SanDisk, who dinged me over 400 bucks each
for my first two 1 gig cards, and then dropped the price to a hundred bucks
a card after they had fleeced the early adaptors.
I've also seen and heard about a lot of damaged CF card slots knocking
equipment out of use. Those pins are really easily damaged.
Funnily though, we had a Memory Stick slot damaged by someone managing to
bend the wire contact on it.
They should have designed it to take both types.
That would be ideal.
