My suggestion:
PZ1p and FA 28-105/f4-5.6 Power Zoom lens, along with
AF500FTZ and maybe a Lumiquest or a Stofen device
attached to the flash.
The PZ1p offers Image Size Tracking mode when used with
a Power Zoom lens. Frame the child at the size you
choose, activate Image Size Tracking, and the camera
will automatically zoom the lens to keep the child the
same size on the frame even when they move closer or
further away. Really cool for active pets and children,
but a little hard on expensive camera batteries.
Along with predictive AF (the Servo setting on the
camera), this would be great for indoor shots of active
children. Plus the PZ1p is a first-rate camera in every
respect, very underpriced considering its extensive
feature set.
BTW, the Pentax 1.7X AF Adapter is a great
teleconverter and autofocuses with many (but not all)
f4 lenses, even though it is suposed to only work with
f2.8 or faster lenses.
