Cool. So that may push the 14mm out of the picture a bit more. Down to
just the 16-45mm and the 12-24mm. One problem is, I took a similar trip 2
1/2 years ago and the widest lens I had was a 24mm on the MZ-S ... it
proved not to be wide enough on SEVERAL occasions. Hence the allure of the
12-24mm.

Yeah, I'm worried that the trees in my landscapes will all have a gangster
lean with this lens. Perhaps someone will chime in on the (non-corrected)
distortion factor of the wide end of the 12-24mm to sway me one way or the
other. That'll be very helpful.

aah, the good ol' days. What's the odds of someone making a current
version of this to serve as our up-to-date version of the PLB (Pentax Lens
Bible)? It's also interesting to look @ some of the names on that link. So
many have come and gone...
