Works without batteries. Shoots at ISO's below 200. Take high magnification finders for macro work. 5fps drive for up to 36 exposures. Full aperture metering with all K mount lenses, successfully mounts Ricoh P lenses. Oh, and you can fit it in a pocket with a pancake lens (50/2M, 40/2.8M)
On the other hand, the D AF's, offers matrix and spot metering, Program and Shutter priority modes, has a higher flash sync, higher max shutter speed and support wireless TTL flash.
