Adobe Lightroom beta 3 is the first release for the Windows
environment. It is similar in its wretchedness to Lightroom beta 1 on
Mac OS X ... :-)

This is how pre-release software is. It will be a finished, polished
release by the time Adobe is done with it, I have no doubt about
that. The Mac OS X version has come a long way over the past 7 months
and is *almost* up to the "useful enough to rely upon it" stage. I
find myself actually completing photographs with it now,
occasionally, but still prefer to do my production work with Bridge
+Camera Raw+Photoshop CS2 as it is faster and more reliable for me at
the present time.
