Tom,
New AAA Tour Guide indicates that there is "camping" available in the
area.
We stayed at Goulding's Lodge where one of our party found a scorpion
hanging on the back of one of his window drapes.
We through off our bedding and did a search. Found nothing, but suspect
I took a little longer to go to sleep than I, otherwise, might have.
Don't know about the camping thing. Travel trailer/RV, maybe. :)
Been there twice. Very loosely run by a Navajo staff. BTW, taking their
picture is not recommended without asking. If asked, may cost you a
little. Others are superstitious; "Steals their spirit...or..".
Last time there was in early Nov.. Bitter, icy, stiff East wind caused
us to seek any shelter available. Stopped at Zion Canyon on way and
waited til Nov. to be allowed to drive the Canyon.
