If I interpret the Babelfish translation of the press release at  
<http://www.tokina.co.jp/news/4961607atx165news.html> correctly, the  
Tokina versions of the new f/2.8 DA zooms are not compatible with the 1x  
and 1.3x Canon cameras. That would make a 1.3x Pentax camera in the near  
future unlikely...
