I dislike PayPal for a lot of reasons. I've had some good luck with
BidPay as a seller, but as a buyer I just send out money orders and trust
my instincts. I've never used (or been asked to use) an Escrow service,
and I like the feeling of mutual trust that I've experienced so far on
eBay. A buyer just sent me a $400 US money order for an item I was
selling, and because of this thread it occured to me to thank him for his
trust... it's quite a leap of faith to send that much money ($600 CAN) to
a stranger, with no guarantee that you'll get what you paid for.
