One of my older brothers was on the USS Iowa, BB 62, a Missouri class battleship during the late 50's early 60's & has 8mm film of his crossing the north Atlantic, taken from several levels above main deck. In some scenes, the fore deck disappears under water due to the rolling waves with the waves breaking over the front 16" turrets !
