Ann, if you get a new computer, you can have a small partition set up to run Win98 on. I know because I have a couple of pieces of software that only work on Win98, apparently when the programmers made sure that the system had the new Win98 on it they did it in such a way that it would not recognize later versions of windows either.
Most of the hardware that runs on Win98 will work on XP, if you download the Win2000 drivers. Even when it says they will not work with XP, that usually just means they have not provided XP specific drivers. It really is worth upgrading because you will not believe how much better systems have gotten since Win98 days. Even those cheapy $400 systems are far better than the best Win98 system was. -- graywolf http://www.graywolfphoto.com http://webpages.charter.net/graywolf "Idiot Proof" <==> "Expert Proof" ----------------------------------- Ann Sanfedele wrote: > Joseph Tainter wrote: >> Ann, sorry to hear this.
