I think that is the trick.  Don't let it bring you to a halt.  Now is
the time to experiment and learn and even compare against your *istD
when you hit a circumstance that seems to be out of line.  Can you
recreate the bad shot (repeat it consistently?  If so, try the exact
same thing with the *istD).  I'm sure the pain of finally getting the
body after the UPS fiasco (I can relate!) hasn't made this any easier.
But do take the time to be methodical so that you can learn - and then
if/when you understand what is happening, then others of us can try to
repeat the same thing to see if it is an issue with just your copy, or
a general issue with the K10D.
