Joe, You're shooting in mixed light, and that's difficult with any media. I ran into a somewhat similar situation (please note, I'm not saying it's a problem) in which I was dealing with tungsten and daylight. The cure comes in the post processing. I was able to eliminate the excess blue with some advice from a few different people.
Also, what you may not be considering is that the blue cast exists, just like the light in shade is cooler than the light in bright sun.
