Of course I am not assuming EVERYONES mode of personal home
entertainment
is EXACTLY like mine, What I am stating/implying that for MOST PEOPLE
the number one form of home entertainment is TV based on hours spent.
This is not all based just on me, this is all based on the population
at large. Its been this way probably since the 1950's. If you dont
agree with that, what do you think it is? Id like to hear it. There
is nothing out there that even comes close that I can think of. With
the advent of cable, home video, HD etc. its only gotten stronger, not
less since then too. if you dont like TV/HOME Theater like you say you
dont, fine, but you are a very very rare bird, because that is not
the norm or even close to being the norm and thats what I am talking
about.
Secondly, I already stated I was kinda like that too until I got HD. Its
just so much better that its difficult to judge how much you will or
wont like it until you get daily access to it and find out whats
available
and whats been improved by HD. I know that sounds like a paradox, but
its true. I am not saying you are wrong or still wont like it, but damn,
that is a very major media to just say you just "dont like it" and "wont
like it ever".

John, you appear to make assumption that everyone else's mode of
personal entertainment is the same as yours, given the tirade of
responses here patently it's not for many other people and you just have
to accept that. It's like you telling me that I'm missing out by not
liking liver because it's something that you adore, I just don't like
it, never will, no amount of badgering will change my mind because it's
simply my preference.

I'm very glad to hear that you obviously get great value out of your
home entertainment system, that's brilliant (for you). But trying to
suggest that your preferences are appropriate for everybody is just
plain pig headded, and as this thread progresses I'm pretty sure that
the number of people who do value your post will be diminishing post by
post and that's sad for you and the list.
