I blow my cameras out using my compressor every month or so even if I can;t see dust, works a treat. The other night a friend got me to blow out his Canon 350D which has just been on an 18 month around Australia trip and has over 100k exposures on its shutter. One puff and there was a veritable dust storm, I couldn't believe the crap that came out of it and to that point he's only been a little bothered by a couple of large dust spots.
