Sorry to bring this thread up again, but...

Somtime last week my copperhill eclipse/pecpad/spatula kit arrived,
and I have attempted to clean the ccd (filter) for several nights in a
row now. (I only do a four passes or so before I get frustrated and
quit so I don't 'hurry' and ruin something :) The two spots I am
referred to earlier will not break free, despite 20 or so passes. I
was starting to wonder if there was something in or on the ccd itself,
under the filter. But if I hold my light at an angle, the shadow from
the specks fall far enough from the speck to indicate that ths specks
are actually on the filter. Even so... are there any known issues
with these ccd's or filters where they may have come this way from
pentax? I really don't think this is the case, because I have not had
these showing in my pictures until fairly recently, I just ought to
ask. Also, is there a more aggressive cleaning method I could try
(besides scotch tape) or is it time to suck it up and pay the big
bucks to have pentas or whoever do it?

Thanks again for the help.
