If you actually read the post I replied to, you will see that YES, someone missed my points, specifically the person I replied to, Paul Stenquist. He specifically stated that paypal money had been transferred and brought up proof of shipment, both of which do not guarantee that you are "safe" as far as the transaction goes. So I do not agree with your assessment that one time statements are enough when people keep repeating the same irrellevant provisos on the topic. jco

No one who reads this thread has missed your point John. I'm out of here. The fact that the money has been received or transferred out to your paypal account MEANS NOTHING! Even the fact that he can prove he shipped the camera MEANS NOTHING. Just because you havent had a problem with paypal MEANS NOTHING. The issue is the shipping name and address and whether the buyer attempts and is awarded a refund by paypal for some reason like it being sent to the "wrong address" which is what some buyers try to do and then later deny of course that they asked for that "wrong" address and they get a paypal refund and the SELLER gets screwed because he wasnt careful. jco -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paul Stenquist Sent: Friday, January 19, 2007 6:45 PM To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List Subject: Re: Camera sold, but worries remain (yet another eBay question) I use Paypal a lot, both for ebay purchases and retailer purchases. I've yet to experience a problem. In John's case, he's already transfered the money to his bank. He'll be able to prove that he shipped the camera. He's golden. Of course no transaction is without risk, but this one sounds like it's pretty close to risk free. It's certainly not cause for major concern.
