I had some trouble figuring out how to make the Metz 60-CT2 NOT work in TTL-mode!
I had to use an old fashioned Metz flash cord and flash-shoe adapter in order to avoid do this - which means NOT firing the whole load, when ever the flash is connected to the K10D. Unfortunately the Metz flash doesn't have a TTL-setting, that can be turned off (like many other Metz flashes does). Anyway - using the built-in sensor in the flash seems to be working just fine. BTW: It's a little annoying that the PC-connection is missing on the K10D body, isn't it? But I guess, this is a very small problem, as long as I remember to always carry af flash shoe adapter in my bag all the time (for Studio etc. :-) Regards Jens Bladt Nytarkort / Greeting Card: http://www.jensbladt.dk/godtnytaar2007/lydshow.html http://www.jensbladt.dk +45 56 63 77 11 +45 23 43 85 77 Skype: jensbladt248 -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] vegne af Jens Bladt Sendt: 6. februar 2007 23:20 Til: Pentax-Discuss Mail List Emne: RE: K10D and Flash Thanks, Bruce. I will. I have annother conference job tomorrow evening. Perhaps I'll put the Metz 60 CT2 om the K10D. And then use the *ist D for No-Flash ISO 3200 shots. Sounds like a good idea! Previously I had been using my AF400T with Lumiquest softener on TTL with the *istD. For this round, I used the K10D and the AF400T with Lumiquest Promax Ultrasoft attachment. I used the flash on Auto setting and set the camera accordingly for the f stop. I must say, that the consistency of exposures was improved quite dramatically. You might try that with your Metz flashes and the K10D. -- Bruce Tuesday, February 6, 2007, 9:31:05 AM, you wrote: JB> I have no wish to get rid of my TTL flashes. Not yet, anyway.
