Thanks, Godfrey. I have a set of Duracell 2650 mAh batteries charging up now, so maybe that will solve the problem with the batteries. I'm glad to hear the Lithiums will work in this as well - I usually carry those for the *ist-D so they could serve in a pinch for the Compact Drive.
