Thanks, Godfrey. I have a set of Duracell 2650 mAh batteries charging up 
now, so maybe that will solve the problem with the batteries. I'm glad 
to hear the Lithiums will work in this as well - I usually carry those 
for the *ist-D so they could serve in a pinch for the Compact Drive. But 
  since the Compactdrive advertises that it gets up to 80 gigs off of a 
single battery charge, I'm hoping the jsut the NiMh set will cover things.
