Mark, just a word of caution.

I have older Compact Drive PD7x model which is truly excellent piece of 
gear. There is one gotcha though. It is rather sensitive about the 
voltage batteries you insert. I did not try it with alkalines 'cause I 
don't trust them to be powerful enough. However I found (by trial and 
error) that if I insert a set of freshly charged 2300 or 2700 MAh 
batteries, it would tell me it is unhappy about the voltage. However if 
I let them be used a bit (say by taking few shots by my *istD), it would 
work fine. Ultimately I resolved to using it either with mains adapter 
or with car lighter adapter 'cause I have both.

Perhaps in the newer model they have fixed this issue.

By the way, mine works just fine with 1 GB Sand Disk SD Extreme III Card 
I bought. I doubt it will work with SDHC cards, but I have none, so I 
don't care too much.
