Hi James

I can't answer all of those questions as I've only been playing with Lightroom
and haven't used it as seriously as others on the list. I'm also still using
the Lightroom beta - delaying installing version 1 until after the beta expires.

Anyway - I have no problems importing from my USB drive (File-Import, then
either choose individual images or select "Choose Folder" to import a whole
bunch of images). When saving, I just use Export and choose the destination
folder and file type from the dialog that appears. Again, you can save one
image or many in the one export operation.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your problem.....

I admit that the interface takes a bit of getting used to and if you already
have a good workflow system with ACR and CS2, there are probably better ways to
spend a couple of hundred bucks.

Still, it's free for 30 days so why not give it a good try out. On my limited
experience it's a bloody good raw converter, if nothing else.

Cheers

Brian
