Sure there is. If they discontinue the 77ltd anyone wanting one will have to buy the 70ltd. Then when a 18x27mm 1.34x crop 13mp DSLR body is introduced you'll either have to put up with vignetting with your 70mm, (not likely), else scour, the Internet for a discontinued 77mm or 85 f1.4 or buy the new 75mm ltd engineered for the "new" format. We get a lower noise higher resolution body, and Pentax sells more lenses, everybody wins. Or am I being too cynical.
