If the prints look underexposed, how do the negatives look?  It's
possible, especially with a non-pro lab, to have fine negatives but to
have your prints come back tinted crazy colours or a bit off in
brightness.  It might be worthwhile having some of them reprinted at a
better lab to see how they turn out.  I've seen some perfectly hideous
prints made from good negatives, so you never know.

If the negatives are underexposed by a significant amount... why?  Did you
have the 5n set to spot-meter by mistake?  Were you using the built-in
flash past 10 feet or letting it provide the majority of light for the
exposure?  What could have caused it, do you think?
