I do not know if this was corrected in 1.11. If anyone wishes to venture a DIY focus adjustment, you have to do it before updating to 1.11. I am not advocating this procedure as it does void the warranty, but it was a fairly easy process if you followed the procedure correctly. It may have to be repeated a few times but it has been reported that it made a world of difference (which is not supposed to be, if Pentax did the initial adjustment correctly, but this seems to be an universal problem among brands).
