Most countries have an ideology, but if you don't believe in it you can 
still identify as a member of that nation.  In other words you can still 
be British or French or Russian even if you don't believe in the (fill 
in the blank) ________ Way. The United States is an Ideology.  The 
biggest problem both US Citizens and nationals of other countries have 
with the US is not realizing that.  Part of that Ideology was keeping 
government small and relatively helpless,  we learned from the rest of 
the world about the joys and glories of big government, now everybody's 
screwed.
