I have decided to sell my *istD, but it was due for a cleaning, so I sent it to CO for a CLA. I mentioned that it had gotten some salt spray on it and that the power switch was a little sticky as a result. Their estimate is for $271, to "repair or replace internal electronics and mechanisms due to corrosion" and "replacement of circuit boards and/or image sensor". Basically it sounds like they're going to rebuild the entire camera. Now I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to do the repair, since I only want to sell it anyway. What would you guys do in my situation? The body seems to be working fine, except for the stickiness.
