The A series offer P and Tv modes on bodies which support them, and function fully on all later cameras except the MZ-60 (which requires AF lenses). Also many A lenses have updated optical designs. As to quality, M lenses are usually superior in build, while A lenses are generally better optically(witha few exceptions like the f1.7 and f2 50mm's which are identical). I'd look for a M40/2.8 or A 35/2 to complement your current 50mm, unless you feel the need for speed. The real gem around here is the FA 43/1.9 Limited, but it's probably a bit more than you want to spend. -Adam -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
