Whether the 105/2.4 is better, I don't know. The 75/4.5 Tak that I have is also fine, although somewhat flare prone. The 75 is hard to focus with the eye level or waist level finder. I use the chimney finder when I'm using the 75. And, though you didn't ask, I shot this a few years ago (Jan2000).
