May have been more than one -- but yes, I think that is right...

It was the only Canon 35mm digital I could afford. :) I got it at B&H
reconditioned. It was there.
I don't know the others... I paid under $500 for it...
I love this camera - and even more now that I can use my great old glass
on it...

The viewfinder seems amazingly good to me - the body is comfortable to
hold and lightweight.

I started digital with a canon a80 powershot, then the pro-1

If I had money I could just play with I guess I'd add one of those
Pentaxes to the collection but
its impossible . But I hate those itsy bitsy SD cards they take. I
can hardly see them let alone
handle them.

I actually had an istD and a zoom lens for about 1 day and returned
it... although I'll admit it
was before I had the computer with XT on it and before I had cable
computer connection....

I couldnt' cope with more changes....

I like the Canon zoom with the SR - but now that i have that adaptor I
can sell the other
Canon lenses - the kit and the non SR 28-135.

So for all those reasons and some I can't think of at the moment but
exist... I chose the 300D
