I'm sure the filter is smaller, my 1963 version 300mm f4
Takumar takes 82mm filters! I have the matching 200mm f5.6
Tele-Takumar (my first Pentax lens @ US$50 w/ case, hood&caps)
and it is a nice sharp lens. Also a pre-set, w/ 49mm filters.
