Jack shoots different stuff than I do. It seems to work better for his
application. Absolutely sucks for me. Hence the 'My Experience'
comment. My experience is that AF point auto-selection doesn't work
well for the most part, outside of the very highest-end systems and
some of the lower-end Canons (the ones with the 9 point AF unit
introduced with the 20D). Jack's experience is different. Never said
he was wrong, just said that my experience was different.

I've got my K10D configured the same way I've settled on configuring
all other AF bodies I've owned other than the EOS 3. AF locked on the
centre point unless I need to select another point.
