Pentax did very well in the pro market with the 6x7. For more than three 
decades. It was the camera of choice among the New York fashion photogs. And it 
got wide use from the big-buck location shooters. The 645 did fairly well too, 
although I think it was more of a MF upgrade for advanced hobbyists. But the 
pro market is small, and it's probably not in Pentax's best interest to try and 
compete there, given the development and marketing costs.
